St. Cecilia Food at First Volunteers provide free hot meals to Story County residents in need at First Christian Church in downtown Ames every Tuesday night from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Volunteers cook, serve and clean up. The St. Cecilia effort is part of the larger Food at First activity, in which several church groups and other community organizations provide meals to the needy on Sunday through Friday nights, and Saturday mid-day, no matter what the weather! (5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on weekdays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Saturdays). In a trial, BREAKFAST is also served each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.
