Bill Klein is married to his wife Karen of 55 years. He has 2 adult children, Jeffrey Klein of Ames and Colleen Sadler of Webster City, and 4 grandchildren.
He graduated high school from Don Bosco, Gilbertville in 1963 and graduated from UNI in 1969 with a BA in Business.
Bill owned and managed a CPA practice in Webster City from 1974 to 2018, specializing in audits and corporate and individual income taxes.
He was active at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and School in Webster City, serving multiple times on Parish Council, Finance Committee, and the St. Thomas Aquinas Foundation. Bill also spent a lot of time attending School Board meetings as an advisor and liaison while serving on other boards.
Bill and his family moved to Ames and he commuted to Webster City until this job became available in 2018.
