FACTS Tuition Management – Rush Please – Due by May 5th

Every preschool and school family will need to set up a FACTS account as we will bill tuition, supply/field trip/FSA fees and fundraisers through FACTS from St. Cecilia School throughout the school year. We are asking you to please set your account up by May 5th, so we can enter your 2019-2020 fees by the end of May. Thank you to the 31 families who have signed up already. Please see link and instructions below.

Re: FACTS Tuition Management
As of today, you are able to sign into your FACTS account at:
If you already have a FACTS account through the Student Tuition Organization, you will use the same sign on and will see a separate tab ‘Payment Plan & Billing’ upon signing in. If you do not have a FACTS account already, please ‘create an account.’

Upon signing in or creating an account, you will go through a set up process which will include adding your students and picking a payment plan option. After completing this process, your account will be ‘pending.’

The office will receive notice and enter your fees for your 2019-2020 billing. This will include tuition and ‘incidental fees’ which will be billed to you and will include the following (please note that these fees have been built into the tuition in past years and are not new fees): Faith Formation workbook, Family School Association, Field Trip (for Ames area field trip, you will not be charged a bus fee), Music/Concerts, Technology and Classroom Supplies.

You will also have the option of a ‘prepay fee’ for your child’s hot lunch account. As with your other fees, you will be able to pay in full, or by semester, semi-monthly or monthly payments.

RE: FACTS Giving
We will also start using FACTS Giving. We will be able to collect certain extracurricular fees such as our Family School Association fundraiser and field trip fees (Such as a busing fee if field trip is outside of the Ames area or C.Y. Stephens ticket fee, etc. Example: Your second grade student is going to Living History Farms for a field trip, you would receive an email and link for your payment for your share of the bus expense.) There is no sign up required as you would be notified by email of this fee.

We understand that this is a new process and there will be questions throughout this upcoming year, but we feel confident having partnered with FACTS Management Company to help us manage our tuition and fees payment program. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support of St. Cecilia School.

A Note from our School Librarian
Hello parents,
The end of the school year is upon us, so it’s time to start looking for all those great library books your student borrowed from the school library. The last week to check out books is the week of May 6th, and all books will be due on May 17th. In the next few weeks, please assist your child in finding and returning their library books. Please let me know if you need help with this process!
Thank you,
Terri Simodynes

On May 10th we are having our next S.W.A.P day, focused on Community Service and working for a cause.

Students will be able to select which activity they would like to participate in and get to spend an hour creating something as a group to help others in our community. We will emphasize the habits of “Begin With the End in Mind” and “Synergize.” We will gather at the end of our work time so we can share with each other all we can accomplish when we work together to help others.

We would appreciate donations for our event to help our students bless others. If you are able to provide something, please deliver them to school by Wednesday, May 8th. Thank you for your support!

Here is info about the restaurant night and meal sign ups:

Earn a special toe token!
If your child is participating in the Baby Wendt Adoption Dash on May 11th at Ada Hayden, they can earn a really cool token. If you haven’t signed up, do so immediately to be part of a great event! Check the Principal Notes for the sign up. Your child can earn a really cool token for any organized run, simply send their bib number with them to school and they will be awarded the token.

Fruit and Vegetable Tokens:
Remember to help your child record the fruits and veggies they are eating on the yellow tally sheet. If you lost the sheet, kindly ask Mrs. V or Mrs. Cowles in the office for a new one. Students will receive a prize when 50 fruits and 50 vegetables have been eaten and recorded. (Please note, the sheet states “new fruits/veggies tried,” this sheet can include any fruit or vegetable eaten.) IF, your child does try a NEW fruit or vegetable, please simply jot the name of the food on a sheet of paper, include the child’s name and your signature and send back to school. I will award a fruit toe token or veggie toe token for each NEW food they try. There are no limits to earning these tokens, as long as you send a note each time.

REMEMBER: Parents and grandparents are invited to join their child(ren) for walking or running at any time (younger siblings also welcome!). If you have never experienced Mileage Club, we encourage you to stop in and observe. Thank you for supporting this great opportunity for the students.
