Catholic Schools Week Update
Even though Catholic Schools Week was interrupted by Mother Nature, it was still a great success. Thank you to our many volunteers, especially Sara Leto, Betsy Pyfferoen and Allison Cochran. The class winners and totals for each challenge are as follows:
SCRIP Challenge – Total dollars-Mrs. Stowell’s class and Most Participation-Mr. Lewin’s class – Total of $4,050 in gift cards orders and total of 23 orders!
Access Shelter Challenge – Mrs. Campbell & donated 213 items
Loose Change Challenge – Mrs. Campbell & donated $454.62
Food at First Challenge – Miss Schoenrock & donated 244 items
Also thank you to FSA for our new red St. Cecilia School tote bags…love them!

Kindergarten & Preschool Round Ups
Please join us on Thursday, February 21st for our Kindergarten and Preschool Round Ups. The Kindergarten Round Up is from 6-7 p.m. and the Preschool Round Up is from 7-8 p.m. The following meetings are for parents to attend a short presentation in the multi-purpose room by our principal, Sara Rooney, and Kindergarten teachers, Susan Campbell and Elayna Hanson and Preschool teacher, Tessa Leibold, followed by question/answer time and classroom tours. You can complete your registration that evening. For Kindergarten student and parents, the next day, February 22nd, you are invited to visit and have lunch starting from 9:30-11:30 a.m. This will be discussed in the presentation. If you cannot make this evening or have any questions, please contact the school office at #515.232.5290. Please make sure you share this information with friends and family. Thank you.

FACTS – Student Tuition Organization
The Our Faith, Our Children, Our Future School Tuition Organization (STO) and St. Cecilia School are pleased to once again provide tuition assistance ot qualifying families. New this year is families whose 2018 taxable income is at or below 400% of the federally determined poverty rate may qualify for an award. STO funds are only available for K-12th grade students. St. Cecilia School has made arrangements to pay the $31 fee for all families to apply. Once your 2018 taxes are complete, please file for FACTS. Please see the attachments for more information, including deadline information and help sessions date and times. Please call the school office with any questions or concerns.

Family School Association (FSA) News
After Mass Reception
On Wednesday, February 13th, the 2nd grade will be having their mass followed by a reception. We are still in need of a few donations of cookies. If you are able to help please us the following link to sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d4ca9ab2ea2f85-after4. This sign up also has the 1st grade and Kindergarten reception dates that are in need of volunteers. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Scouts with Heart – Can Goods Drive
Valentines Day is right around the corner and what better way to show how much you care than to help those in need. On Monday through Wednesday, February 11-13, Scouts from Saint Cecilia Pack 159 and Girl Scouts Troops 729 & 930 will be collecting can goods to benefit the local Salvation Army Food Bank. A drop box will be posted outside the school office Feb. 11-13th and scouts will also collect can goods after school during school pick up. Thank you from Pack 159 and Troops 729 & 930.
