Interested in learning more about the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage?

Have you seen the movie “The Way”?  Have you been thinking about walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across northern Spain, but are not sure where to start?

The Central Iowa Chapter of American Pilgrims is a valuable local resource for anyone considering making this pilgrimage to the Cathedral of St. James in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela.  Our local chapter keeps experienced pilgrims connected to the Camino and introduces new people to the experience of walking the Camino.  The Central Iowa Chapter organizes informational meetings, social events, and hikes that allow pilgrims and pilgrims-to-be to share their stories, experiences, and useful logistical tips.  Our next gathering is a presentation/Q&A by several experienced pilgrims on Camino Basics, on Saturday, August 4, 2018, 9:30-11:00 AM in the Rotary Room, Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas AvenueAll are welcome!  For more information contact local pilgrim Dawn Bratsch-Prince at
