Ready, Set, Clean Out Your Closets!

At the request of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Waterloo, we are conducting a Clothing Drive to help stock the Society’s Thrift Store to meet the high need they are experiencing. Parishioners are requested to bring donations to Masses the weekend of January 27-28, 2018.

The Society will accept clean clothing, outerwear, sheets blankets and bed linens in almost any condition, provided they haven’t been compromised by odors, liquids or other contaminates. The Society also can use fabric scraps, quilting materials and garments that have been cut up for use as rags in their recycling program.

Hopefully, this early announcement gives you time to take a look at your closets and “lighten” them up a bit, as you help others who are in need of your donations.  Stay tuned for further details. Please contact Rick Brimeyer if you are interested in helping collect donations at one of the Masses on Jan. 27-28 or helping to load the truck on Mon. Jan. 29.
